Chief- Oversees entire Department

Asst. Chief - Takes over for chief when absent. Acts as seconds to the Chief. Often times is Incident Commander at major scenes.

Deputy Chief- Acts as supervisors of Captains

Captain- Head of a Bureau ie. Operations, Investigations

Lieutenant- Head of a Division ie. Detectives, Patrol, RPIT, or watch commander

Sergeant- Head of a team of line officers or some special units

Detective- Every officer that passes the detectives exam

Officer- Line Members of the Officers
